Ten years of visual and audio research spanning sound art, conceptual art, subvertising, and culture jamming: Jacopo Dotti's exhibitions have toured Europe and Italy's most important venues, with curatorial collaborations by Rosi Raneri, Elizabeth Mitchell D'Anna, Elena Jelmoni, Guido Folco, Guido Bartorelli, and Fabio Facchinetti.
A journey that brings together historic galleries, public institutions, and unconventional spaces, united by research into the relationship between music, architecture, and perception.
Sound Art and Sound Installation
The sound installation—of which Euterpe, presented at the Cesare Pollini Conservatory in Padua, is the most complete synthesis—investigates the relationship between music, architecture, and the perception of space. The works integrate with the physical structure of their host, transforming the environment into an acoustic and symbolic sounding board.
The live performance becomes an integral part of the work: the music does not accompany the exhibition, it constitutes it.
Subvertising, Culture Jamming and Concept Street Art
As one of the main Italian representatives of the Subvertising and Culture Jamming movements, Jacopo Dotti uses the visual language of advertising communication and inverts it to generate new critical and symbolic meanings.
A work that engages with the tradition of Concept Street Art and the European movement of Brandalism, recognized in London and Berlin through collaborations with the Jelmoni Studio Gallery. The exhibition "Subverthecity" with Marco Strano at the Galleria Itinerare in Venice (2025, curated by Fabio Facchinetti) is the most recent exhibition dedicated to this theme.
Conceptual Art
Jacopo Dotti's conceptual research focuses on the relationship between sign, meaning, and context. Each work begins with a cultural investigation—of territory, memory, musical identity—and translates it into a visual or audio device that can be interpreted by the viewer.

London — Royal Opera Arcade Gallery (December 14, 2015)
The international debut: an exhibition and performance of experimental music at the ROA – Royal Opera Arcade Gallery, as part of "Inside III – Expo Contemporary Art." One of England's oldest and most prestigious galleries, designed by John Nash and established in 1821, it is curated by Rosi Raneri and Elizabeth Mitchell D'Anna.
Berlin — Flu Games Berlin II / Berlinale (February 12, 2016)
Exhibition and performance at "Flu Games Berlin II," coinciding with the Berlinale International Film Festival 2016, in the evocative Malzfabrik. Curated by Elena Jelmoni (Jelmoni Studio Gallery), with publication in the catalog published by Edizioni Pulcino Elefante. This is the European recognition of research on Subvertising and Concept Street.

Padua — Cesare Pollini Conservatory (2015)
Euterpe installation for the exhibition "Nuovi Segnali," curated by Guido Bartorelli (University of Padua). The work is located in the stairwell: an acoustic sounding board that reverberates with visitors' footsteps, a metaphor for the journey of knowledge, in dialogue with the plaque dedicated to the conservatory's founder.

Venice — Galleria Itinerare (2025)
